Title: Ysbryd y Mwynwyr - Spirit of the Miners

Walking in the area

Much of the remaining physical evidence of the mining heritage in Ceredigion lies in the hills, often some distance from any roads. The best (often only) way to visit these places is on foot.

We have prepared suggestions for a number of walks that follow public rights of way, some of which have been specially waymarked and have had interpretative display boards erected to help visitors appreciate the areas special feature.

Please note that most of these sites of interest are on private land. You should not go there unless you have had permission or the area is legally accessible to the public, either via a public right of way or because it is on Open Access land. It is a good idea to check the access rights against the 1:25000 OS maps (available on the Ordnance Survey 'Get-a-map'website
